Physicochemical Property

1. Appearance: white powder, not smelly and tasteless.
2. Granularity: the pass rate of 100 entries is greater than 98.5%; the pass rate of 80 entries is greater than 100%.
3. Carboization temperature: 280-300℃.
4. Surface density: 0.25-0.70g/cm³(Usually at 0.5g / cm³Left and right), with the proportion of 1.26-1.31.
5. Discolored color temperature: 190-200℃.
6. Surface tension: At 25℃, the 2% aqueous solution is 42-56dyn / cm.
7. Solubility: dissolved in water and some organic solvents, such as an appropriate proportion of ethanol / water, propane alcohol / water, dioxethane, etc.Aqueous solutions have surface activity, high transparency and stable performance.The solubility varies with the viscosity. The lower the viscosity, the greater the solubility, the performance of HPMC varies between different specifications, and the appearance dissolution of HPMC in water is not affected by the pH value.
8. HPMC decreases with methoxy content, increased gel point, decreased water solubility, and also decreased surface activity.
9. HPMC also has the ability of thickening, low gray salt discharge, pH stability, water retention, excellent membranogenesis, as well as a wide range of enzyme resistance, dispersion and adhesion.
10. Surface activity: The HPMC aqueous solution has a surfactant function, and can be used as a colloidal protective agent, emulsifier and dispersant.
11. Thermal gel: When the HPMC aqueous solution is heated to a certain temperature, it becomes opaque. The gel forms precipitation, but in continuous cooling, it returns to the original solution state.And the temperature at which this gel and precipitation take place depends mainly on their type, concentration, and heating rate.
12. pH stability: The viscosity of HPMC aqueous solution is almost not affected by acid or base, and the pH value is relatively stable in the range of 3.0-11.0.Therefore, the viscosity of the solution stabilizes during the long-term storage process.
13. Water conservation: HPMC is a high-efficiency water conservation agent.Products are widely used in building materials, food, cosmetics, and many other aspects.
14. Membranicity: HPMC can form a transparent, tough and flexible thin film that can excellently prevent the infiltration of oil.Application in food, this property is often used to maintain water during the cooling period and adsorbed oil.
15. Binding: It can be used as an adhesive for pigment, paint and paper, but also in paint and adhesive.
